Go ahead pre-heat your oven to 325°!
I use a Butter-Recipe cake mix, mix according to directions on box, then add an envelope of Dream Whip. Mix on medium speed for EIGHT (8) minutes, sometimes I bump up the speed for the last minute. You will see the volume increase into a gorgeous creamy whipped batter that is absolutely delicious!
Pour into your baking cups.
For the Basket Cake use a small metal coffee can and pour about 2 cups of batter, (about 1/3 full) and bake.
Bake the cupcakes around 15 minutes and the basket cake around 30 minutes. You will yield one basket cake and around 18-19 cupcakes.
To make icing:
Mix 1/3 cup of Crisco-2/3 cup of water-1 1/2 cup of confectioner sugar-dash of vanilla
Leaf Green Icing Color and my favorite tips for decorating these items are #30 star tip, # 47 basket weave tip and #104 for lovely leaves or to fill in some greenery.
After decorating the way you wish, top with some fun Easter candies. I ad a bright color pipe cleaner for a handle, not suggested for children, to give the complete Easter Basket effect. Remove the handle before eating.
