Salted Nutella Caramels

Salted Nutella Caramels

Ingredients:
 
14 tbsp butter
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp Nutella
 
 
Directions:
 
Cook butter, sugars, salt and cream in a saucepan
Stir until sugars are dissolved and ingredients are completely combined
Bring to a heavy boil
Candy thermometer reaches 230° remove from heat
Stir in vanilla and Nutella
Cool for 2-3 minutes
Pour into parchment lined pan
Thick?  4x4 Thin? 8x8
Sprinkle with sea salt
Refrigerate for several hours
Drop out to a cutting board
Cut into squares
Sprinkle lightly with sea salt
Wrap individually in wax paper


I found this great recipe at bell'alimento.  I followed her recipe and they turned out perfect!
